Events Commemorating the Partisan Movement in the Ivatsevichy District
About event
The principal public event in the 2024 “Khovanshchina” series was the military-history festival “A Day in the Life of a Partisan Detachment”, held on 26 May at the Khovanshchina Partisan Glory Memorial Complex. The announced starting time was 10:30 and admission was free. The programme comprised historical re-enactments of episodes from the Second World War, a concert and an interactive tour of the former partisan camp. The memorial reconstructs the partisan headquarters, the editorial office of the Zarya newspaper, a medical unit, a forest school and other elements of partisan life. The event is traditionally held on the last Sunday in May.
