Regional Winter Ritual Festival “Koniki”

About event

A traditional Old New Year ritual in Davyd-Haradok on the night of 13–14 January. Groups of costumed performers visit homes, led by a disguised “horse” and its rider, wishing families health, prosperity and good fortune. Participants later gather in Davyd Square. The “Koniki” carolling tradition is recognised as part of Belarus’s historical and cultural heritage.
