Where to go with kids in Belarus: dinosaurs, huskies, animal parks, and interactive museums

Family trips are always a challenge. Children quickly get bored in traditional museums, while parents want a vacation that is not only fun but also comfortable. Belarus is perfect for traveling with children: it is safe, distances are short, and there is a huge number of modern amusement parks.

Dipriz Animal Park (Baranovichi)

This is not just a zoo, it is a real fairy tale! The grounds are designed in a fantasy style with huts, castles, and ponds. The main highlight is that many animals (alpacas, lemurs, roe deer, ostriches) can be fed by hand and petted, as they roam freely throughout the park. The park is huge, so plan for at least 4-5 hours for your visit. There are mother-and-child rooms, cafes, and rest areas on-site.

Sula History Park (Minsk Region)

An interactive park where the history of Belarus comes to life. Children definitely won't be bored here: you can take a ride on a real drakkar (Viking ship) along the river, visit a blacksmith and forge a horseshoe, go horseback riding, and see how a water mill works. There is also a real 'batleishchik' (puppet theater performer) who puts on amusing shows.

Husky centers and sled dog kennels

If you are traveling in winter or early spring, be sure to visit the huskies! For example, at the 'Snezhnaya Zaya' center or the kennels near Belovezhskaya Pushcha. The dogs are incredibly friendly; you can cuddle them, hug them, and take funny photos. And the main adventure is dog sledding through the snow-covered forest.

Dinopark and Minsk Zoo (Minsk)

An open-air dinosaur park is a win-win for children of any age. Huge figures of Tyrannosaurus and Diplodocus move, roar, and breathe. The park flows seamlessly into the zoo and dolphinarium, so you get three experiences in one location.

Stankovo Center for Ecotourism

Just 40 km from Minsk lies a huge complex. It is a paradise for boys: they can climb on real tanks and airplanes and see partisan dugouts. For the little ones, there is a large zoo where bears, wolves, tigers, and ostriches live. There are also cool rides, laser tag, and horseback riding.
