Patronal Feast at an Ancient Monastery

On May 20, the monastery celebrates the feast of the apparition of the miraculous Zhirovichi Icon of the Mother of God, drawing thousands of pilgrims. The festivities include an outdoor festive liturgy, often led by high-ranking clergy. After the service, a large-scale religious procession with the miraculous icon takes place, heading toward the holy spring. Pilgrims have the opportunity to venerate the great shrine and enjoy the grandeur of the ancient architecture.
