About event

Green Christmastide (Trinity Sunday) is traditionally celebrated by weaving wreaths from meadow grasses and decorating homes with birch branches. At the open-air museum, folk groups recreate authentic rituals of 'kumlenie' (godmothering) and circle dancing. Young women float their woven wreaths on the water, divining their future husbands to the sound of folk songs. The festival offers a chance to experience ancient agrarian cults closely intertwined with Orthodox traditions.
