Pilgrimage to Budslav

About event

Every year, thousands of pilgrims from all over Belarus and abroad travel on foot to Budslav for a celebration in honor of the miraculous icon of the Mother of God. This is one of the most important spiritual events, inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. During the night service, participants light thousands of candles, creating a remarkably touching and luminous atmosphere of unity and faith.
